Gibbs Truck Transmissions was founded by Bert Wilson and Ivan Gibbs n 1957. The Gibbs family initially started it as a truck and car wrecking yard business before the current owners Paul and Chris Gibbs took over in 1980 making it a major supplier of spare parts in the trailer and trucking industry.
