Jackson's Auto Repairs

 In June 1980 David and Julie Jackson formed a partnership to establish Jackson’s Auto Repairs. David was the sole mechanic and Julie handled reception, ordering inventory and bookkeeping tasks. Gradually the client base expanded to warrant employment of an additional mechanic.

Largely through ‘word of mouth’ advertising Jackson’s gained a reputation for an excellence in mechanical skills, superior workmanship and honest, personalised customer service. This led to further growth of the client base.  By 1986, Jackson’s Auto Repairs moved to larger, rented premises. Staffing levels were increased with the indenture of two apprentice motor mechanics, effectively doubling the mechanical staff. Four years later further growth necessitated another move to the current, much larger premises on Brighton Road, Somerton Park.

The larger workshop enabled Jackson’s to increase the volume of work and to purchase additional equipment. The types of services offered were diversified without compromising the high standards set in skills, quality of work, and the integrity of individual attention towards a greater number of clients. The business continued to prosper and the purchase of the Brighton Road premises became a reality.

In July 1999, Jackson’s Auto Repairs became a registered company with David and Julie Jackson as directors.
